Huzzah arrived on the Glen Iris scene in January 2026 with one ambitious goal: to become the neighbourhood's favourite hangout. Judging by the laughter echoing through the beer garden most weekends, we're off to a pretty good start.

We're proudly independent and owner-operated, not another venue run by a big pub group. That means no head office telling us what beer to pour, what music to play or what a neighbourhood pub should be. We simply focus on creating a place people love coming back to.

Think of Huzzah as your local clubhouse. A place where lunch somehow becomes dinner, one drink mysteriously becomes three, live music gets people dancing, and "just one game" of bocce, pool or ping pong becomes a fiercely contested battle for eternal bragging rights.

Behind the bar you'll find one of Melbourne's biggest independent beer line-ups, alongside outstanding wines, cracking cocktails and an alcohol-free range that refuses to be an afterthought. In the kitchen, Head Chef Kevin and the team serve delicious dishes designed for broad appeal.

Speaking of people, they're what make Huzzah tick. Led by General Manager Troy and Customer Experience Manager Bec, our crew believes hospitality is about remembering your name, recommending your next favourite beer and making your first visit feel like your fiftieth.

Huzzah is the latest adventure from Steve Jeffares whose previous exploits include The Local Taphouse, Stomping Ground Brewing Co. and GABS. His mission? Build the kind of local people wish they had around the corner.
